The Beatles Rarities Sold At Auction

The bass drum skin as featured on the cover of 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' by The Beatles, has sold for a staggering £541,250 (more than $1,000,000) at auction this week - despite an estimate of being sold for £150,000 ($300,000)
Elsewhere in the sale of rare artifacts from the Fab Four, were John Lennon's hand-written lyrics for 'Give Peace A Chance' selling for £421,250 ($840,000).
Another sale went to Lennon's tinted prescription sunglasses - which appeared on the single cover for 'Mind Games'. One fan picked these up for for £39,650 (around $80,000).
