Paul McCartney To Play Huge Israel Show?

Paul McCartney could be playing a huge concert in Israel later this year to 250,000 fans.

The country's government invited the former Beatles songwriter to perform - 40 years after they were banned - and it's now claimed McCartney is in talks with security about hosting the event.

If the concert goes ahead, it will be held in Tel Aviv during September at either Ramat Gan national football stadium or as an open air gig in Hayarkon Park.

Although safety for the singer is still a top priority: "Paul is desperate to put Israel on the map of places he's performed." A source says. "He is pushing to make it happen, although the security issues are a real threat."

"Paul's very laid back so is not one to normally take such a keen interest in his personal wellbeing. But this show is very different given the tensions in the region."
