Arctic Monkeys could be going "psychedelic" on their third album, according to producer James Ford (of Simian Mobile Disco).
"It's too early to say what sort of direction they'll go in next," Ford tells the Daily Star. "But they've got at least one tune up their sleeves that sounds massive already."
"It's much more psychedelic than the first album (2006's 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not'). I wouldn't rule out a bit of R'n'B either – the boys know their stuff."
This isn't the first time James Ford has worked with the band - he produced last year's second album 'Favourite Worst Nightmare' and also the debut long-player by Alex Turner's other band The Last Shadow Puppets.
