Nick Cave Remastered Reissues Coming

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have teamed up with the Mute label to reissue their entire back catalogue as digitally remastered expanded packages - remixed in 5.1 Surround Sound.

The first four albums - 'From Her To Eternity', 'The First Born Is Dead', 'Kicking Against The Pricks and Your Funeral', 'My Trial' - are already being worked on and will be released before the end of 2008.

Each reissue will be a two-disc set, containing both the remastered stereo mix and new surround sound mix, as well as a specially commissioned short film created by UK artists Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard.

The b-sides for the related singles will also be included, as are exclusive sleeve notes.

The next release from Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds is the single 'Midnight Man', taken from the band's current album 'DIG, LAZARUS, DIG!!!' and will be available on July 28th.

Cave himself describes the song: "It takes various points of view and it's got an unreliable narrator speaking in it and it time travels."

"It's basically a guy looking at his woman and half of the time he's the protector and at other times he's the villain and she betrays him and doesn't betray and he's jealous and not jealous. It's very lean and there's a nice sense of threat within the song."
