Ladyhawke Designs Her Own Tea Towel

Strangely, Ladyhawke has produced a one-off tea towel design, that will be available for free at selected indie stores in the UK and she's also launched an online game.

This bizarre piece of merchandise coincides with the release of the New Zealander's debut single 'Paris Is Burning', which we reviewed last week and is in shops now.

Speaking of the fashionable kitchen accessory, Ladyhawke says: "To celebrate my debut single there are going to be some Ok, tea towels: I don't know if it's just a New Zealand thing or what, but collecting tea towels from places you've been is quite a big thing."

"It has this whole kitsch kiwiana vibe about it. You go on holiday to Lake Taupo, grab yourself a tea towel with a picture of the lake on it - kinda like an aerial map view with little dots naming the towns and little ferns and kiwis all around the outside. Then you go home and add it to the collection. Sometimes if its a particularly amazing tea towel it goes on the wall! ;-)"

The list of stores which will be giving away the teatowel can be found here - stocks are limited and no purchase is necessary.

And that isn't all either, if you head over to this site, you can play a "retro arcade 'schmup' (shoot-em-up) that sees Ladyhawke take to the sky's to battle an inexplicable onslaught of cats bent on destruction of Paris - relying on swift moves and upgradeable weapons to survive the frantic action".
