Machinefabriek and Stephen Vitiello are to release a split album this June called 'Box Music', for 12K Records.
Interestingly, the pair made the album by sending each other strange objects in the post (such as an egg cutter, thumb piano, a broken kraakle box, rice, chocolate sprinkles, old cassette tapes, a broken 7" record etc), with the recipient then attempting to use this to make a new song.
The result is a five-track album, featuring two songs by each and a final fifth song is a collaboration between both artists - with Machinefabriek adding sounds and processing to a piece started by Stephen.
Box Music Tracklisting:
1. Bells, Book, Tin Foil, Buttons - Machinefabriek
2. Crackle Box, Thumb Piano - Stephen Vitiello
3. Field Recordings, Rocks, Speakers - Machinefabriek
4. Broken Record, Cassettes - Stephen Vitiello
5. Chocolate Sprinkles, Tape, Egg Cutter, Rice, Plastic Bag - Both Artists
