The Vaselines are to reform in little under two weeks for a one-off show at Tigerfest, before heading to Washington for a Sub Pop party in July.
The Scottish indie band broke up in 1989 and were praised heavily by late Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain, who described songwriters Eugene Kelly and Frances McKee as his "most favorite songwriters in the whole world."
Tigerfest will be held at the Dunfermline Carnegie Hall on May 16th and other acts joining the month long event include The Twilight Sad and Frightened Rabbit - more info here.
The Sub Pop party is scheduled for July 12th and will be based in Redmond, Washington at the Marymoor Park. The label have ties with the band previously, as they released the compilation album 'The Way Of The Vaselines: A Complete History'.
