Idlewild Announce Summer Dates

Idlewild have three small club dates set for July in Birmingham, London and Manchester.

Frontman Roddy says of the mini tour, "we're going tp play some small club shows to try out some new songs live, play though some other B sides and rarely played songs, and basically have a bit of fun."

"If there's one good thing that's come out of less people buying albums anymore, it's that it's de-based the whole album and tour every two years cycle, so that bands such as ourselves can go and play when the mood takes us - or something like that."

Roddy also goes on to talk about the band's current recording plans: "We've started work on writing the new album anyway, and have four or five good songs cooking in the oven, so we'll keep on at work and hopefully will book a recording studio sometime in the summer."

"I'm not going to bother trying to describe what the new material sounds like, because I usually get it wrong, but it's all good stuff. You'll hear it if you come to one of the summer shows."
