Foxy Brown (real name Inga Marchand) has been released from prison today (Friday April 18th), after serving eight months of her twelve month sentence.
The rapper was accompanied by police as she left the Rose Singer Center for women at Rikers Island in New York, where she immediately changed outfits.
Outside, Brown was met by her mother Judith Marchand and lawyer New York City Councilman Charles Barron, while her entourage arrived in style, that included three Rolls Royce's and SUV's.
Fans who were anxiously waiting to see upon the release of Marchand were sporting t-shirts bearing the caption, "Free Foxy Brown".
Now a free woman, Brown will prepare for the release of her next album Brooklyn's Don Dive - which includes production from Kanye West and Swizz Beatz. The record is slated for a May 13th release.
