Radiohead are showing their support for the campaign to stop human trafficking. Joining up with the MTV EXIT (End Exploitation and Trafficking) campaign, the band will push the message in a new video for the song 'All I Need', from their In Rainbows album.
The video was directed by Oscar-winning cinematographer John Seale and will be premiered on MTV this Friday May 1st.
Thom Yorke says of the popular music channel: "I think it is cool that MTV is taking on this issue. The video is a powerful piece and I hope that the emotion of the song will jump out at people in the context of these images of exploitation. I'm proud that the song and the video will help to raise awareness of this issue around the world."
At the forthcoming Radiohead concerts, youth activists from local anti-human trafficking organisations will distribute trafficking information to gig goers.
Olivier Carduner, the director for USAID's Regional Mission for Asia said: "The collaboration with Radiohead will take MTV EXIT to a global audience, expanding the reach of USAID's partnership with MTV beyond Asia and the Pacific."
