Portishead - Third May Be Their Last Album

Geoff Barrow of Portishead has hinted that new album 'Third' may be the band's last long-player.

Talking to BBC6music, Barrow says: "Perhaps it could be our last record but I hope not – everyone's really happy and now we seem like we've broken through this wall that has been kind of like stopping us for making music for such a long time. We all feel it's fairly good."

"We've got some ideas of what we would like to do but they're really just rough ideas. I mean – if we haven't got a record deal we could put it out ourselves, we could go to a large indie that y'know really likes music."

Although fans hoping for new material soon shouldn't hold their breathe, as Barrow adds, "We haven't talked to any body yet – we haven't talked to Universal yet."
