Paul McCartney To Play Huge Show In Kiev

Paul McCartney is to play a special Independence Concert this Summer in Kiev, which will be watched by hundreds of thousands of people.

Last year's event, which starred Sir John Elton, had an audience capacity of 200,000 fans.

The event will be held at Independence Square on June 14th and McCartney was invited to play by Viktor Pinchuk, who is the son-in-law of former Ukrainian president Leonid Kuchma.

Pinchuk says the event would be "the first time we have the opportunity to hear the songs that changed the world and created a new culture."

McCartney is expected to draw an even larger crowd than Elton John last year.
