Hood's Richard Adams To Release Declining Winter Album

The Declining Winter is the alias of Richard Adams - who you may know elsewhere as a member of the band Hood.

Adams has just completed a record - his debut solo offering, entitled 'Goodbye Minnesota', which will surface on the Rusted Rail label on May 5th.

Talking their way through the album for us, the label say the the LP "ranges from epic claustrophobia to rustic folk-dub explorations, with spectral atmospheres anchored to pastoral roots."

'"Goodbye Minnesota" delivers hypnotic melancholia via abstract hiphop, shoegaze, dub and post rock explorations. Along the way there's also rain-drenched pop and globally warmed electronic folk."

Keeping things green for the release, the CD will be available in a recycled card sleeve and for those of you that pre-order the album early, are in for a chance of getting a free Declining Winter badge and limited edition numbered postcard - although these are for the first 50 copies only.
