Blood Red Shoes Auction Rare 7" Singles For Charity

Two rare Blood Red Shoes singles are being sold in aid of charity by the band's former label, Jonson Family Records.

Two copies of the limited edition and long sold-out Victory For The Magpie 7" are currently up for auction on ebay (one here and the second here) with the profits going to two separate charities of the band's choice.

The ebay listings reveal more on the charity auctions: "What happened was this: We moved from London, England, all the way down the Somerset England. In the move, whilst chucking piles of detritus away we unearthed two copies of the BRS 7"."

"We thought they'd all gone. Honest. So we spoke to Mr Steve Ansell of BRS fame before one of their recent sold out dates in Cardiff, Wales, and mentioned we'd be up for selling them on Ebay and giving the money to whatever charity the band want. Aren't we the Bob Geldof's of cruddy small labels eh?"

"There were 330 pressed. The band screen printed the sleeves. Some were red, some were black. Both these 2 are black. So here we are. Two copies. Unplayed. Mint. Go for it. The charity will be added on here once we know it. The band are busy now but will get back to us. We're not busy. We're drinking cider. Yours, Jonson Family Rekkids."

Blood Red Shoes are currently finishing their UK tour with just two dates left (Apr 17th - Glasgow Kef, Apr 18th - Glasgow ABC2) and released their acclaimed debut album Box Of Secrets this week - read our album review.
