Timbaland is a quiet dog - he's been secretly working on the next solo album of Chris Cornell, of Soundgarden and Audioslave fame.
After scoring hits for Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado and more recently, working on Madonna's comeback album Hard Candy, the producer hopes to have similar success with Cornell's third effort - currently without title.
Speaking of their studio time, Chris says: "This is different from anything I've ever done. I've come from an indie rock world, where, if you have a producer, it's somebody who's not a musician, not a songwriter."
"He's (Timbaland) just someone who twists knobs and can kinda tell you if they think a song is too long or too short or needs to be more aggressive. It was as if we were in a band."
In turn, Timbaland says of the upcoming record, "This will be everybody's favourite album of this year."
