Jim Noir Second Album Details Revealed

Jim Noir was absent for the most part of 2007, only releasing the All Right EP shortly before the close of the year (which we reviewed here).

Now it turns out that the time away was spent crafting his second full-length album, also named Jim Noir, which will be released on April 7th. Like his acclaimed debut effort Tower Of Love, his sophomore LP will be available through My Dad Recordings.

First though, this month will see single What U Gonna Do? arrive on March 31st as a strictly limited 7" of just 500 copies (like Noir's earlier vinyl-only releases). Joining the song will be exclusive b-side Look What You've Done To Her.

Apparently the second album is a concept record, that tells the tale of an astronaut travelling on a one-way trip into the stars, while reflecting on themes of childhood, love, disappointment and life. Or so we've heard.
