Phantom Channel is a newly-formed net label, who've just launched with a bang in the form of the first half in a two-part compilation album.
The first section (the second will arrive shortly) is available as we speak on the Phantom Channel website and sees nine tracks by names such as EL Heath, Brakhage, Weird Fields and Engine7 (who also mastered the whole album).
According to the label, "Part One will feature predominantly ambient, drone and soundscape orientated artists while Part Two will expand into improv, electronica and acoustic territories."
If you're a regular visitor to our media section, then you may have just seen we've posted a free MP3 of one of the highlights, 'Forgotten Post', courtesy of Canadian experimentalist Parhelion.
But remember, the entire nine-tracker is available as a free download in its entirety at the aformentioned Phantom Channel site, or it can be streamed over at Last.fm
