This Et Al have been on the quiet side since the release of debut album Baby Machine in Spring of last year, but coming in just over a month is a brand new four-track release; The Figure Eight EP.
All four inclusions are completely new and exclusive to the EP, which will be released by the blossoming Leeds label On The Bone Records, on April 28th as CD, 10" vinyl and naturally, digital download.
Diehard fans may recall Figure Eight as a live favourite, while the closing (The Tale Of) Frosty Jackson sees vocals from all members of the group.
This Et Al hooked-up with long-term collaborator James Kenosha (Grammatics, Duels) and the artwork was supplied by Chicago artist Diana Sudyka. The band are also heavy at work on their second LP, expected later in 2008.
Speaking of the group's relationship with the label, they also have another new track - Special Bear - featured on the forthcoming On The Bone Compilation Number 2, alongside names like The Twilight Sad and Grammatics, which we reported about here.
Track Listing:
1. Figure Eight
2. Medicine Hammer
3. Ice Age
4. (The Tale Of) Frosty Jackson
