The Roots Rising Down Album Details Surface

The Roots will release new album Rising Down for Def Jam on April 29th, Angry Ape has learnt today.
The long-player is their tenth to date and is their most political album yet according to the band, with issues like "addiction, nihilism, hypocritical double standards in the prison system and overall life in Philadelphia" being tackled.
Joining the The Roots on the record are masses of collaborators like Common, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, DJ Jazzy Jeff and Styles P.
Other names include Patrick Stump - singer with Fall Out Boy, who stars on the first single from Rising Down, Birthday Girl.
