The Raconteurs Announce Consolers Of The Lonely Album

The Raconteurs are to release their second album Consolers Of The Lonely in every country as of next Tuesday, March 25th.
The news is likely to shock fans of the band, as there has been no pre-album singles, interviews or adverts for the record. The band say the reason for this was because they wanted to get the album released as quickly as possible.
"We wanted to get this record to fans, the press, radio, etc., all at the exact same time so that no one has an upper hand on anyone else regarding its availability, reception or perception." they say.
The Raconteurs also say that Consolers Of The Lonely will be available as individual download tracks, until iTunes and other download services allow bands to not break up their full length albums.
However, the album will be sold in its entirety as MP3s at 320kb bit rate via their official website. Also in Japan, fans will be able to download the record via their mobile phones.
Consolers Of The Lonely contains 14 new recordings and will be released through Third Man Records in conjunction XL Recordings and Warner Brothers Records. A video for the first single, Salute Your Solution on March 25th as well, provided it gets edited in time.
