Glastonbury Ticket Demand Down Due To Headliners

Michael Eavis has said the number of music fans registering for Glastonbury Festival tickets this year is down, compared to the volumes who applied in 2007.

Talking to the BBC, Eavis said: "There's not as many as last year because we haven't got the super, big, big, big sort of headlining act anymore. We've gone for something middle range although Jay-Z is huge in America."

He then added, "It's going to be absolutely brilliant. But it's not like a Radiohead or a Muse or a Coldplay or an Oasis is it?"

Glastonbury Festival 2008 will be headlined of Kings Of Leon, The Verve and Jay-Z. Ticket registration closes tonight and they will go on sale to all those who applied on April 6th.

The full line-up is yet to be announced, but will be revealed in the coming weeks and the festival will run from June 27th-29th.
