Rihanna has been made an honourary cultural ambassador in her homeland of Barbados.
A rally was held three days ago (February 21st) in honour of the r&b singer, where Prime Minister David Thompson made the announcement.
The Associated Press reports that Thompson said the Barbados government would also recognise her cultural contributions and would give her a "piece of the rock" - which in turn, means a plot of real estate in the exclusive Apes Hill area of St James Parish.
In other news, we reported a few days back, that Rihanna was considering whether to release her collaboration with Klaxons and their cover of her single Umbrella - as performed live at the BRIT Awards last week.
