Adem Covers Bjork, Smashing Pumpkins On New Takes Album

Adem has finished his third album, but unlike his past two efforts (Homesongs and Love And Other Planets), the new record is a covers collection named Takes.
Released on May 12th by Domino, the twelve-tracker sees Adem giving his own interpretations of tracks that were released between the ten-year period of 1991 - 2001, while he was growing up.
The covers include takes on songs by Bjork, Smashing Pumpkins, Aphex Twin, Tortoise and PJ Harvey among others. Takes was recorded at The Pool and Exchange studios, plus is the first album he has recorded in a proper studio, where he also plays every instrument himself.
On top of the record, Adem will also play a one-off show at the Union Chapel in London on March 25th, where he will be joined by a host of musicians; including a harpist and string section.
