Eazy-E's Ruthless Records Relaunches

Eazy E's defunct Ruthless Records will re-emerge this year with a batch of new albums, twenty years after the later rapper formed the label.

The company had notable success in its heyday, releasing music by the likes of NWA, The D.O.C., Above The Law, JJ Fad and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony among others. However, the label was put on hiatus in 1995, after founder Eric "Eazy-E" Wright passed away due to AIDS.

Now Eazy's wife Tomica Woods-Wright, has relaunched the company and her role will be the president and CEO. Woods-Wright has already renegotiated a distribution deal with Sony and will release music from new singings like Agina, Hopsin, Nashay, Stevie Stone and Street Runnaz Click.

Speaking of the future of Ruthless Records, she says: "It's about one thing right now, the artists - what their contributions will be and the next layers they will add to the legacy of the label."
