Flight Of The Conchords Prep Debut Album

You may have seen folk-pop duo Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement AKA Flight Of The Conchords on late night TV, with their comedy show of the same name.

Well now Sub Pop are to release the first fully-studio-recorded album by the band, which has also been given the title of Flight Of The Conchords.

At fifteen songs in length, the LP follows the six-track EP The Distant Future and it will be released on April 22nd. For the LP, the pair were produced by Mickey Petralia (Beck, Ladytron) in Los Angeles, New York and Wellington,

Talking about the album, Sub Pop say: "These 15 songs pay homage to Pet Shop Boys, censorship, Marvin Gaye, sexism, Shabba Ranks, and backhanded compliments."
