Scarlett Johansson To Release Debut Solo Album

Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson has completed her first solo album and she's been joined by a number of guests on the record.

First is the basic news; the album is named Anywhere I Lay My Head and features ten cover versions of songs by Tom Waits, as well as one original-penned number by Johansson herself entitled Song For Jo.

Anywhere I Lay My Head was produced by Dave Sitek of TV On The Radio fame, and David Bowie lends his vocals to not one, but two tracks - Falling Down and Fannin' Street. Apparently Scarlett and Bowie met at a party, just before recording sessions started.

Also making an appearance is Nick Zinner (guitarist with Yeah Yeah Yeahs) and members of the band Celebration - all of whom contribute through the entire record. No UK date has been issued, but the US will get the album on May 20th via Atco/Rhino.
