The White Stripes Sued For Using A Sample Without Permission

The White Stripes are being sued by a former Canadian radio presenter, over claims they sampled her without permission on a song from 8 years ago.

The track in question is Jumble, Jumble as featured on the album De Stijl and the presenter, named Dominique Payette, is sampled for around 10 seconds doing an interview.

Payette is now seeking $70,000 for the sample and remaining copies of De Stijl may be withdrawn from record stores.
