Trent Reznor Disappointed By Download Sales

Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails has revealed disappointing results for the new Saul Williams album, after following the same route as Radiohead for their In Rainbows long-player.
Reznor produced the album The Inevitable Rise And Liberation Of Niggy Tardust, which was then made available as a low quality free download or as high quality MP3s for the low sum of just $5 (around £2.50).
However, it's been revealed that only 1 in 5 people who downloaded the album actually paid anything for it. Speaking about the project, Trent says:
"Perhaps by revealing of all our data -- our 'dirty laundry' -- we can contribute to a better solution. As of 1/2/08, 154,449 people chose to download Saul's new record. 28,322 of those people chose to pay $5 for it, meaning: 18.3% chose to pay."
