Adam "MCA" Yauch has revealed plans for the Beastie Boys to collaborate with a batch of vocalists on a new record, in a new interview with Billboard.com.
The idea is to release a vocal version of their recent instrumental album The Mix-Up, with Yauch saying, "[we're] talking to some different artists who might do kinda like remixes and put vocals on it, so it wouldn't be us doing vocals on it. It would be kind of like a different version of the album, with a bunch of people guesting on it."
Yauch has named M.I.A., Lily Allen and Jarvis Cocker (formerly of Pulp fame) as people the three-piece group are interested in working with. "A bunch of British people" says Yauch, before adding "it'll be interesting to see what they do with the stuff."
