Foals Prepare Mathletics Single

Foals are becoming one of the biggest tipped bands for 2007 - obviously helped largely by the fact the band have been working with Dave Sitek (TV On The Radio) on their first album and a pending tour with Bloc Party will only further their increasing fan-base.
On August 20th, the five-piece will release next single Mathletics, although this track didn't come from those Sitek sessions - or the Kieran Hebden studio time we recently reported on for that matter.
Released as a 7" and download by Transgressive Records, the title track is joined by new recording Big Big Love as the b-side and if you want to watch the new video that was released this week, you can do so here.
Foals have also spoken about their time recording with Sitek, as singer Yannis puts it: "He's incredibly intense and massively high most of the time. A true American conversationalist and pretty much a visionary as much as we can gather."
"His eyes are shut most of the time and he's been recording with Scarlett Johanson. I think he'll just allow us to do what we've always wanted which was just to make considered artistic music that understands rhythm ...something that is more mature and less constrained to any conventions or scenes but still works within certain pop confines."
