Animal Collective Unveil Strawberry Jam Artwork

By now you will probably be aware that Animal Collective will be releasing their new album Strawberry Jam on September 10th - in fact you may well have already heard most of the nine tracks featured on the record, after six were leaked a couple of months ago.

But now the artwork for the long-player has surfaced and sticking to the theme of the title, the sleeve depicts an image of rotten squashed strawberries (see the image below)

Strawberry Jam has taken its time to arrive with fans, as Animal Collective initially began working on the new material in September 2005, two years before it will appear in stores.

Early reports suggest the LP is the band's most accessible to date and from what we've heard, the vocals are more polished and higher up in the music than usual.
