Wichita Ready 7th Anniversary Compilation

Wichita Recordings - that's the label behind such bands as Bloc Party, The Cribs and Simian Mobile Disco - are to celebrate their seven year anniversary by releasing a new compilation album on September 24th.
The fourteen-track CD is entitled There Is Only One T In Wichita and includes seven unreleased exclusive tracks by the likes of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and Les Savy Fav.
Wichita Recordings have also stated that the CD doesn't have an official running order and that the album is supposed to be played on shuffle or random. Speaking of this unique approach, the label say:
"In 2 years the record industry has changed in many ways, most noticeably with the advances in technology and the development of the digital music sphere. The CD seeks to address this by featuring a tracklisting based solely on the alphabetical order of artists involved."
"With people becoming ever less likely to listen to albums as a 'whole', the compilation is intended to be played on shuffle on your CD/mp3 player, with there being no officially 'correct' running order. Of course there is also the fact that no tracklisting from the ever adventurous label seemed to make musical sense!"
