Beenie Man is amongst reggae stars who have signed a new act that hope to welcome all walks of life to enjoy their music, without fear of violence or prejudice.
Another big name to sign the agreement with gay rights activist Peter Tatchell and his Stop Murder Music campaign is Sizzla, although it appears numerous other figures in the scene are not so keen to lend their support.
The genre is notorious for its outspoken figures who perform music that incites sexism, homophobia, violence and racism, which the agreementhopes to change.
The act reads: "We agree not to make statements of perform songs that incite hatred or violence against anyone from any community."
