Radiohead have denied rumours that they would be releasing an album for the Starbucks offshoot label, Hear Music.
The net has been rife with reports that the band would be following in the footsteps of Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan and Alanis Morissette, by releasing a CD for the imprint, after Radiohead's management were supposedly seen meeting representatives of the coffee shop chain.
However, a spokesperson for the band's management has issued the following statement, quashing any rumours:
"Radiohead are currently in the studio working on their next record. They are not negotiating a new record deal with anyone, and will not even consider how to release their new music until the album is finished."
"The rumour that they are about to sign with Starbucks is totally untrue."
