A live show by Miami rapper Trina over the weekend was halted due to gunfire that left several people wounded.
Trina was set to perform early on Saturday February 24th morning at the Synn City club in Pompano Beach, when the incident happened.
Reports suggest a bullet was fired outside the club and as security guards attempted to remove the gunman, several others present also drew weapons and proceeded to shoot. As a result, two security guards and five others were shot although none of them have serious injuries.
Speaking to TV station CBS 4, Trina said in an interview, "Just thank God I wasn't in the club. I never made it inside the club because I'd have hated to be there and something broke out and I'd have been in the midst of it"
"I'm really sad because they were just there to have a good time and possibly to see me." Trina added.
Following the event, Police have now arrested a 17 year-old suspect on suspicion of shooting a firearm in public.
