The Longcut are to release a one-off limited edition single for Manchester's Melodic label (the guys who gave us the debut Nine Black Alps single) on March 19th.
The single will be a 7" and download affair featuring Idiot Check - a track that didn't quite make last year's debut album A Call And Response (released by Deltasonic). The b-side meanwhile, sees The Longcut covering You Got The Love by The Source feat. Candi Station.
The Longcut describe Idiot Check, "It's always been one of our favourites and we've been playing it live for years now, but when we came to get the album sorted out there just didn't seem to be anywhere that it could slot in".
The trio then revealed their decision to release the single on a new label: "Melodic was one of the first labels to be interested in us from very early on, and through them we've discovered loads of great bands from Manchester and beyond".
7" Track Listing:
A. Idiot Check
B. You Got The Love
