Prodigy And The Alchemist Arrested On Gun Charge

Mobb Deep's Prodigy and producer The Alchemist were arrested in New York earlier this week and charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
The pair had apparently been travelling in Prodigy's $120,000 customised bulletproof Chevy Suburban on West 30th Street around 2:15 am, when Prodigy made an illegal U-turn on to Ninth Avenue against the flow of traffic, in an attempt to get a parking space.
Police stopped the SUV and as they approached the vehicle they allegedly saw Prodigy trying to conceal something. When the officers searched the Suburban they found a .22 caliber handgun in the glove box.
Prodigy was released on $7,500 bail, and The Alchemist was released on his own recognisance.
