A court case involving 50 Cent and one of his biggest hit singles, has been dismissed by a Judge last week.
The case claimed that 50 Cent's In Da Club track stole a lyric from a 2 Live Crew song named It's Your Birthday. The line in question was "Go Sheila, it's your birthday".
On Friday October 27th, Judge Paul Huckule found that there were no similarities between the two tracks in question, stating that the lyrics were a "common, unoriginal and non copyrightable element of the song" and was thus not entitled to protection.
