Outkast Accused Of Glorifying Gun Culture

Andre 3000 of hip hop group Outkast is under criticism after being accused of "glorifying gun culture".

In a recent interview, Andre 3000 claimed he would be happy to let his son Steven (currently aged 9) carry a firearm in future, when he said:

"I would want my son to carry a gun when he gets older. It's just something you have got to have if you want to be safe".

His comments have caused outrage amongst anti firearm organistations such as Mothers Against Guns, who are disappointed with the rapper's words. The group have said:

"Andre 3000 is idolised by large numbers of young children throughout the world. He is glorifying gun culture which has taken over the world and taken our children away from us. To say he is going to encourage his son to carry one around when he is older is despicable."
