Chuck D Named An 'Icon'

Popular culture and lifestyle magazine, Swindle, is to feature Public Enemy frontman Chuck D in their upcoming "Icons" issue.

The special edition of the magazine will be dedicated to people who have had a major influence on popular culture.

Partnering with Motorola, Swindle is planning to hold exclusive, invite-only sit down dinners next month in Los Angeles and New York with the people being featured in the issue. Other personalities being honoured are Hulk Hogan, Larry Flynt, Judy Blume, Bobby Seale and Tyra Banks.

Speaking about it, Swindle's Editor-In-Chief Roger Gastman said: "The common denominator for choosing an "Icon" for the issue was to find those who are singular in their pursuit or their accomplishments. We weren't looking for the most famous or the most successful but those who are without peer."

He continued: "We feel that we have found 50 such individuals and we are honored to have them grace our magazine and we look forward to the unique events which will bring such disparate talents and personalities under one roof."
