Run DMC Being Sued For Copyright Infringement

Influential hip hop group Run DMC are being sued for copyright infringement by 80's pop/rock group, The Knack.
The lawsuit was filed last Friday by The Knack's Doug Fieger and Berton Averre, who claim that Run DMC stole parts of their 1979 hit "My Sharona", including the famous guitar riff. The pair claim Run DMC used the material in their "It's Tricky" song twenty years ago.
Compensation is being sought for all albums sold with "It's Tricky" in the track listing from 1986.
