Not long after Elbow announced details of their next album The Seldom Seen Kid, front man Guy Garvey has explained the meaning behind the title and also released an audio clip of new song The Bones Of You.
Speaking to BBC6Music, Garvey says: "The album's called The Seldom Seen Kid which is a reference to our friend Brian Clancy who died a couple of years ago."
"The Seldom Seen Kid is originally a character from a Damon Runyon book, and it was also one of my Dad's mate's nicknames in the '70s when he worked in Manchester on the newspapers."

"We've chosen it as a title as it was way to reference Brian without being mournful about losing him, cos he was a great man, and a very funny man."
Meanwhile, head on over to Elbow's official site and there you will be able to stream The Bones of You.
The band will be touring this April - you can find those dates listed here.
