Tickley Feather - Fancy Walking

Although released by Animal Collective's Paw Tracks imprint (which usually results in automatic attention), the new Tickley Feather album seems to have slipped under the radar somewhat.

This Philadelphia resident has released a few split singles previously (for Badmaster and CNP Records), and has toured with Animal Collective after personally being picked by the band themselves.

Her music is charmingly lo-fi (no surprise from a P.T. signee) as you can hear on 'Fancy Walking', complete with cheap organ riffs and even cheaper keyboard drums, over-lapping vocal chants fed through echo, it's like the gentler, younger sister of Suicide.
