Tokyo Police Club - Tessellate - Tom Campesinos! Remix

As part of a limited edition version of Tokyo Police Club's debut album Elephant Shell, a second disc holds a batch of remixes including contributions from Dntel, Field Music and Tom Campesinos!
As the name suggests, Tom Campesinos! is indeed a member of the frenzied, blog royalty collective Los Compesinos!, who here reworks latest single 'Tessellate'.
Tom shys away from the hyperactivity of the original, pushing instead slow-churning synths, xylophones and harsh drums that sound like steam-powered machinery. It is refreshing take on the song, which is now only recognisable via the vocals.
