The Pigeon Detectives - This Is An Emergency

Leeds five-piece The Pigeon Detectives sold a truckload of CDs with their debut album Wait For Me and having just recorded their follow-up with esteemed producer Stephen Street, it looks like they could have another hit record on their hands.
This Is An Emergency is the lead single ahead of the album release and doesn't see the group exploring any new terrority. In fact the track could have easily been tucked away on Wait For Me - a paint-by-numbers Pigeon Detectives single if you will, it has everything you'd expect; shouty vocals, catchy as hell (or annoying, depending on which way you look at the band) melody, basic chords etc etc, with the only standout change being the high-profile studio recording.
This Is An Emergency will be released by Dance To The Radio on May 12th, with the album 'Emergency' following shortly after (read details on the LP here.
