Sera Cahoone - Only As The Day Is Long

Colorado-born, Seattle-based singer-songwriter (enough hyphens?) Sera Cahoone has just delivered her new album Only As The Day Is Long (in stores right now) for the ever reliable Sub Pop, although she doesn't sound much like her fellow label mates.
After the demise of her last band Carissa's Wierd, in which she played drums, Cahoone now peddles her own blend of country-esque Americana and lo-fi folk, with tense lyrics: "I know I’m safe for now, but I know the rest is on its way" she coos on this free MP3 of the title track.
