Portishead - Machine Gun

Portishead will soon be rivalling Radiohead in terms of magazine inches and blog space. The recently announced lead single off the Third album, Machine Gun, now has its own video - a sketchy, almost voyeur-esque promo shot through a hazy blue filter.
In terms of a lead single, the three-piece couldn't have chosen a better option. Machine Gun is lead by insistent machine-beats and menacing noise, that offer a cold, industrial backdrop to Beth Gibbons' eery, ghost-like vocal.
