Ida Maria - Stella

Norwegian songstress Ida Maria has so far eluded mass fame, due to her releases thus far being limited run 7" singles. All that could change soon however, as she has now inked a deal with RCA for the release of her debut album (currently in its recording stages).

Her irst widely available release is the jangly, Strokes-esque garage-pop of Stella - a song which Maria, in her own words, says is about "God giving the world away to a 43-year-old prostitute from Manhattan in return for a night with her." Stella was issued today in the UK (March 10th).
