No Kids - The Beaches All Closed

Tomlab's No Kids did more than whet the appetite for their album Come Into My House late last year, when they leaked a free MP3 of Halloween. This follow-up, The Beaches All Closed, is another glimpse of the eccentric, freak-pop nature of this experimental three-piece.
Here we see them taking an r&b tip for the track, as the trio push plucked strings into clinical beats and a falsetto that would give Prince and Beck a run for their money. The twisted view on hip-hop also has a slight feel of Max Tundra's Lysine.
The album is already raising a few eyebrows on the blog scene and it could well be one of the unlikely contenders for record of the year.
