The Futureheads - The Beginning Of The Twist

Things haven't looked so good for The Futureheads since the end of 2006. The band were dropped by their label 679 and have since released nothing since second album News and Tributes in that same year.

The time out of the limelight hasn't been wasted it recently emerged, as the Sunderland band used the two and half year period to record their third album This Is Not The World. Inspired by a punk-ethos, the group are to self-release the LP on their own Nul Records imprint, along with the record's first single The Beginning Of The Twist.

The video is vaguely animated, as the four members perform the song in front of a green screen - so cartoons, scribbles and various doodles can be overlaid on to the footage. The Beginning Of The Twist has a release date of March 10th.
